John Mark Butler - Vice Chair

John Mark Butler grew up in Pelham, Georgia. He graduated from Georgia Southern University in 1994 with a degree in finance. He has been in the insurance industry for 14 years. In 2001, he started his State Farm Insurance agency in Dublin, Georgia.  John Mark is married to Tina Butler and his three loving children Mark, Ben and Emily.

 

He is currently serving as the Vice-Chairman and on the Board of Directors for the 2008 St. Patrick’s Festival. He served as the Vice-President of the Order of Shillelagh in 2006 and President of the Order of the Shillelagh in 2007.   He is a past board member and member of The Dublin Exchange Club.  He has been flipping pancakes since 2001 at the Dublin Exchange Club’s St. Patrick’s Pancake Supper.

 

John Mark has giving a lot of time for various organizations in the Dublin-Laurens County area. He is a past board member and member of The Dublin Exchange Club.  He is a member of the Dublin- Laurens Chamber of Commerce and has been a Chamber Ambassador since 2003.  He trained a local student who participated in the Georgia Southern University Internship program.  He is a member of the First Baptist Church in Dublin where he serves as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, and sings in the choir. 

 

He has sponsored numerous schools, churches, and charity organizations in Laurens County.

He encourages everyone to come out and take part in this year’s festival.   Erin Go Bragh!
